Group Leader Dr. Jiann Shieh, born in 1973, received his Ph.D. degree from National Cheng Kung University in June, 2002. After working at National Device Laboratory for ~8 years, he was recruited to Department of Materials Science and Engineering in National United University (2009). Dr. Shieh’s research focuses on the nanofabrication. He has made original contributions to the synthesis of nanostructures and nanomaterials, and their applications in hard coating, gas sensor, resistive memory, field emitter, surface cleaning, optoelectronics, superwetting glass and self-jumping metals. He has published more than 50 peer-review papers, including 3 papers in Advanced Materials.
